Sayulita is a friendly, safe and accessible little beach town, with quaint cobblestone streets, beautiful beaches, tasty restaurants and shopping. What it doesn’t have is a large mega-resort, so while tourists are plentiful, they tend to be the types who don’t mind traveling further from the beaten trail.
We’ve been enjoying the surf, the sun, and the fabulous food, art and culture in Sayulita with our winter yoga intensive since 2012. We love sharing this special place! As far as the yoga classes go, you get a 10 class yoga pass with your registration and can choose from 2-4 classes a day. This year, we’re offering sunrise classes in the morning, workshops midday and gentle classes before bed. Students can also choose to meet with a teacher 1:1 to get a better sense of how to advance their practice.
The retreat is located at Hotelito Los Sueños “Little Hotel of Dreams” – an adorable and tidy little garden hotel with a friendly and knowledgeable staff (who likely speak English as well as you do). Rooms are tasteful and comfortable, with air conditioning and a bathroom. Additional room options including balconies and kitchens are available at checkout. Breakfast is served on the third floor palapa (open air walls, thatched roof).
Yoga classes are held in an open palapa as well. Past retreat classes have especially enjoyed the open air studio as a break from the and sound of the tortilla man walking by every morning, calling out his wares “Tor-teeeee-ahs!”
