This course will offer yoga teachers, serious students and healing professionals the opportunity to explore the therapeutic application of a traditional hatha yoga practice. It will provide an overview of the core practices of asana (posture), pranayama (control of breath) and pratyahara (control of senses) and suggest ways to apply these practices to a range of physical, mental, emotional and environmental conditions.
A morning session will introduce concepts and apply to the treatment of stress related, including auto-immune disorders. An afternoon sessions will specifically address the use of asana to rehabilitate injured knees, shoulders and backs.
Professional counselors and Registered Yoga Teachers qualify for 5 CEU hours. Please pre-register as space is limited.
