Techniques, training, and practice in the fundamental components of postural practice (asana) with special attention to energetic alignment, transitions, and appropriate variations for all populations. Students will learn techniques and biomechanics of standing, seated, reclining, prone, and balancing poses in addition to surya/chandra namaskar and restorative yoga. Successful students will be able to demonstrate and describe postures that reflect a balance of ease and effort and to be able to recognize various indicators of distress in themselves and while observing others.
