Evolve Monthly Mindfulness Course Summary

Through this 12-month mindfulness journey, participants will gain greater awareness, focus, connection, and power. Whether you are at the beginning of your practice or want to take your current practice to the next level – we have a group for you.

Your leader on this journey is Margi Clifford, founder of Yoga for Mental Health, based in Anchorage, Alaska. Margi is a yoga teacher with more than 20 years of experience and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Read more about Margi here.

What to Expect

Choose from one of three Evolve Monthly Mindfulness Groups – the details and timing for each are noted below. The group you choose will be your designated group, of no more than eight participants, for the entire year. Participation requires a 12-month commitment to attend scheduled meetings, one time each month.

Each of our 12 monthly meetings is grounded in the ten themes of mindfulness practice known as Perfections of the Heart. From Compassion and Truth to Integrity and Joy, together, we will practice and integrate these ten qualities of heart and mind into our daily lives. You will build awareness through breathing and meditation practices and dedicated time for process with the same small group each month. Between meetings, you will be asked to consider themes and practices.

How to Sign-Up

Registration is currently open for all three Evolve Monthly Mindfulness Groups A – C and ends before the first meeting of each group. The details and timing for each are noted below (and on our Event Calendar). The group you choose will be your group for the entire year. This will be the only opportunity to enroll for 2022.

  • Group A (Open to all levels) – The 1st Tuesday of each month starting January 4, 2022, from 8:00 – 9:20 am AKST.
  • Group B (Open to all levels) – The 2nd Thursday of each month starting January 13, 2022, from 6:00 – 7:20 pm AKST.
  • Group C (For experienced practitioners who completed our 2021 course) – The 3rd Tuesday of each month starting January 18, 2022, from 8:00 – 9:20 am AKST.

Current clients may be eligible for insurance billing. The “group psychotherapy” code is 90853 if you want to check with your insurance company to see about coverage. Insurance billing cannot be combined with the member discount. New clients must schedule an “intake appointment” (code 90791) to qualify for insurance billing. Deductible, co-pay, and “network” other particulars of insurance coverage apply.
